Responsible conduct of research (RCR)
Ethically acceptable and reliable research in Finland, as well as its credible results must be conducted according to the Finnish Code of Conduct for Research Integrity. The guidelines are in line with the European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity.
The Finnish National Board on Research Integrity (TENK) has published guidelines on responsible conduct of research (RCR) and the handling of allegations of misconduct. The aim of the guidelines is to promote responsible conduct of research and to ensure that allegations of misconduct can be handled professionally, fairly and as quickly as possible.
The Finnish National Board on Research Integrity (TENK) is an expert body of the Ministry of Education and Culture, appointed by the Ministry based on a proposal by the scientific community. Its task is to promote responsible conduct of research, prevent scientific misconduct and promote discussion and communication on research integrity.

TENK publishes guidelines and monitors the status of ethical review in the field, maintains the contact list of the committees and organises networking events for the committees.
