Tays Comprehensive Cancer Centre conducts multidisciplinary cancer research at Tampere University and Tampere University Hospital. Our focus areas of research are cancer prevention and early detection, clinical drug trials, translational research entities, patient perspective and research on patient’s involvement, and cancer research in nursing science and palliative research.
The Scientific Working Group of the Tays Comprehensive Cancer Centre plays a key role in the development of research. All cancer-related development work is carried out in close cooperation with the parent organisations of the Cancer Centre. The results of the research projects are published annually in more than 200 internationally high-level scientific publications.
