Tays Comprehensive Cancer Centre conducts wide-ranging cancer research at Tampere University and Tampere University Hospital. The focus areas of our research are cancer prevention and early detection, clinical drug trials, translational research entities, patient perspective and inclusion studies, and cancer research in nursing science. The scientific working group of the Tays Comprehensive Cancer Centre, whose experts represent different research areas in a multidisciplinary manner, plays a key role in the development of research. The development work related to research activities is carried out in close cooperation with the background organisations of the Comprehensive Cancer Centre. The results of the research are published annually in more than 200 internationally high-quality scientific publications.
